Gonzales – State Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Juan (Carlos) Saenz to Consumer Lender/Banking Officer at its Gonzales banking center. A native of Wolfforth, Texas

Mr. Saenz graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Financial Planning.

He joins State Bank after serving most recently with First National Bank of Goliad. He also has experience with Wells Fargo Bank and Central Bank & Trust.

"Carlos’ diverse financial services experience and his excellent bilingual skills will allow us to offer an extra level of service to our customers," said Chad D. Stary, president of State Bank - Gonzales. "Since State Bank came to Gonzales two years ago, we have had wonderful support and patronage from the people of the area, allowing us to expand our facilities and hire new employees to better serve this community."

Mr. Saenz was in the U.S. Navy from 1981-1985, serving on the USS Puget Sound Ad 38, the Six Fleet FlagShip. Before his honorable discharge, he earned a Meritorious Unit Commendation in Lebanon in 1983, as well as a Good Conduct Award. Mr. Saenz has one son, Randall.
