Bettye Rutledge & Sharon Vrana Promoted at State Bank in Flatonia

                FLATONIA – Bettye Rutledge has been promoted to lobby services manager/sales and marketing and Sharon Vrana has been named head teller/lobby service manager operations at State Bank in Flatonia, according to Banking Center Manager Frankie J. Tupa.

                A life-long Flatonia resident, Bettye graduated from Flatonia High School and attended Durham’s Business School.  Before joining State Bank in 1982, she worked for the University of Texas in Austin, E.A. Armin Attorney at Law and J. R. Mica, P.E.

Her prior positions at State Bank include secretary, assistant vice-president marketing and Customer Service Representative.  Bettye, daughter of Ella Mica, is married to Carl E. Rutledge.  She has one son, Brent Etlinger.

                Sharon was born in Weimar and raised at Freyburg.  She graduated from Schulenburg High School and began her banking career with First National Bank of Schulenburg.  Since joining State Bank in 1984, she has worked in the bookkeeping department and as a drive-through teller.  In her new role, Sharon will oversee teller operations, auditing of tellers, balancing vaults, ordering money and monthly reports.  She is the daughter of Clarence and Jeanette Friedrich.  Sharon and her husband, Bonaventure, have two daughters, Sheila and Sherie.

                “Bettye and Sharon are very experienced bankers who believe in putting the customer first,” says Mr. Tupa.  “I am very pleased to announce their promotions.”

                Bettye is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, director of the Flatonia Rail Park Association and chair of the Salvation Army in Flatonia.  She is a graduate of Leadership Fayette County sponsored by the La Grange Area Chamber of Commerce.

                Sharon is a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and is involved with the Future Farmers of America and the Flatonia Young Farmers organization.
