FLATONIA - Frankie J. Tupa has been promoted to banking center manager at State Bank in Flatonia, effective immediately, according to Don Stricklin, President and Chief Executive Officer. A native of Flatonia, Mr. Tupa graduated from Flatonia High School and attended Baldwin Business College in Yoakum and the Southwest Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. He began his extensive banking career with First State Bank in Port Lavaca, serving as a loan officer and teller supervisor before joining State Bank on January 15, 1980 as a lending officer. As Banking Center Manager, Mr. Tupa will have responsibility for daily operations, in addition to acting as a loan officer and secretary to the State Bank Board of Directors. "With his level of experience, Frankie Tupa is uniquely qualified to manage State Bank's Flatonia Banking Center. He knows many of our customers and has a great deal of respect for both the citizens and businesses in the community," Mr. Stricklin said. An active member of the community, Mr. Tupa is vice president of the Flatonia Lions Club, secretary/treasurer of the Sacred Heart Cemetery Association, board member of the Flatonia Golf Association, treasurer of the Flatonia Ministerial Alliance and a member of the Flatonia Knights of Columbus.
